Ability to change "last" submission

In CO we have a lot of cases where students accidentally upload something after having passed an assignment, e.g. uploading their new submission in the wrong place. They then think this doesn't matter, but it does, causing them to no longer have a pass for the assignment. This is discovered well after all the deadlines.

We are then stuck in a bit of an annoying situation. The last submission should essentially be ignored/removed. However, we have absolutely zero control over this. We cannot make new submissions, neither can the students (which is also a very time consuming way to fix it). We don't want to pass the incorrect submission, as it is not a correct submission for the assignment and we want to potentially do fraud checks on all latest submissions.

Therefore, the request is for some functionality with which we can e.g. mark a submission as "not counting/skipped/invalid", remove a submission or mark an older submission as leading for the grade in some way.
