[Jitsi](https://jitsi.ewi.tudelft.nl/) is an online conferencing tool that we are currently self-hosting on our servers, making it a GDPR compliant tool for this type of online education.
### How To Jitsi
1. Visit the link: [https://jitsi.ewi.tudelft.nl/](https://jitsi.ewi.tudelft.nl/).
2. Enter a room name in the prompt (e.g. the name of your lecture).
3. Copy the link in your browser which will be of the form "https://jitsi.ewi.tudelft.nl/name-of-your-room".
4. If you wish to set a password for your room, click the `(i)` button in the bottom left corner and select `Add password`. This will allow you to modify the password.
5. To share your screen with all the viewers, click the monitor icon in the bottom right corner.
6. To use the chat, click the text bubble icon in the bottom right corner. You will be prompted to add a nickname (it can later be changed in the settings) and then allowed to chat.
7. For large audiences, it is advised to automatically mute all other viewers. Click the three dots icon in the bottom left corner, select `Settings`, go to the `More` tab and in the `Moderator` menu, select the `Everyone starts muted option`.
8. Students can click the hand icon to `Raise` their hand for attention.
